◉ PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

Heat Shrink Machine – Introduction

A heat shrink machine is a device that uses heat to shrink heat-shrinkable films (such as PVC, POF, PET, OPS, etc.) tightly around a product or package. It is often used in conjunction with sleeve labelers, sealers, or wrapping machines to complete label shrinking, multi-pack bundling, or transparent film overwrapping. Heat shrink machines are widely used in the food, beverage, daily chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.

Working Principle:

The product or package with a sleeve label or shrink film already applied enters the heating tunnel of the heat shrink machine. The heating system (electric heating tubes, hot air circulation, or steam) generates high-temperature airflow, causing the film to shrink uniformly. The shrunk film conforms tightly to the product contour, forming a compact, transparent protective layer. The heating tunnel typically includes a temperature control system and conveyor speed adjustment to accommodate different films and product requirements. After passing through the heating zone, the product moves through a cooling zone (natural cooling or forced air cooling) to set the film.

Key Features:

  • Good shrinking result: Uniform heating yields a relatively smooth, wrinkle-free surface that closely follows the product shape.

  • Compatibility with various product shapes: Can handle round, square, and irregularly shaped containers, as well as multi-pack collations.

  • Works with multiple shrink film types: PVC, POF, PET, OPS, and other materials can be used depending on product requirements.

  • Adjustable temperature and speed: Heating temperature and conveyor speed can be adjusted according to film characteristics and product heat sensitivity.

  • Relatively simple design: The main components are a heating tunnel and a conveyor system, making maintenance relatively straightforward.

  • Optional cooling system: Forced air cooling can accelerate film setting and improve packaging results.

Common Types:

  • Heat shrink tunnel: A basic heat shrink machine where products pass through a heating tunnel. Suitable for shrinking sleeve labels or wrapped films.

  • Steam shrink machine: Uses steam as the heat source, providing lower temperature and moisture. Suitable for heat-sensitive products (e.g., certain plastic bottles, hot-filled products).

  • Hot air circulation shrink machine: Uses electric heating with hot air circulation for uniform temperature distribution and relatively manageable energy consumption. Widely applicable.

  • Infrared shrink machine: Uses infrared radiation for heating, with relatively fast temperature rise. Suitable for specific films and products.

Typical Applications:

  • Label shrinking: Used with sleeve labelers to tightly apply shrink labels to bottle bodies (e.g., water bottles, beverage bottles, yogurt cups).

  • Multi-pack bundling: Shrinks film around multiple individual products (e.g., beverage cans, yogurt cups, medicine boxes) to form easy-to-handle bundles.

  • Single product overwrapping: Shrinks transparent film around individual products (e.g., CD cases, stationery, toys, cosmetic boxes).

  • Dust and moisture protection: Provides a certain level of dust and moisture protection to product outer packaging.

For the following products, 8.8 refers to the hardness grade of the product model. The steel materials include: galvanized (yellow, white, blackened), and Dacromet for anti-corrosion; the stainless steel materials include: 304, 201, etc. For specific products, please feel free to inquire.
